50 years of industrial history
1962

Supratec founded by Jean Jestin

From its very beginning, Supratec specialises in technical trading, distributing mechanical components for industrial production in France’s main industry fields. An extremely pioneering specialisation in the 1960s.

2009

Launch of the Engineering sector

This marks the starting point of Supratec’s strategic direction towards mechanical engineering, with machining and welding assemblies as its new main applications.
First projects:
- Volvo for weld tooling
- Famat and Montupet for machining assembly

2011

Expansion of engineering capacities

The acquisition of Lormac Automation confirms Supratec’s strategic choice towards engineering. It targets a capacity that would better meet its clients’ requirements by offering them top turnkey solutions.

2014

SUPRATEC Synergies

Supratec creates its internal design office with the aim of creating its first OEM products:
- SML
- SteamFlex
- Egid

2016

The new Supratec identity

Supratec becomes the shared identity of all brands and subsidiaries of the group. The move is accompanied by new branding that conveys reliability, dynamism and unity to associates, contractors and clients.

2017

CSR approach

To tackle the industrial challenges of tomorrow, Supratec’s ambition is to go even further in the spirit of social, societal and environmental responsibility.

Supratec abroad

Safran Aircraft Engines Querétaro, Mexico

Installation of a line of M2000S
The Querétaro site chose the fixed workstation. We had already installed the M2000S that allowed Safran Aircraft Engines to guarantee FAN production for LEAP.

Safran Nacelles Morocco, Africa

Installation of ergonomic manipulators
We installed the MV750+ ergonomic manipulators in two moving lines to guarantee production of A320neo semi-inverters and other sub-assemblies.

Liebherr Bulle, Switzerland

Creation of an automatic assembly line
Liebherr contacted us to design and make a power shovel engine automatic assembly line for all L&V engine units. This project is led by SUPRATEC Lormac with a dedicated on-site team.

Gemalto Singapore, Asia

Smart card protection
Gemalto chose Supratec to protect its smart cards from deformation, humidity, and inviolability using the Dam & Fill process. We process more than two hundred million smart cards each year for the Singapore site, mainly for the banking, security, identification, and telephony sectors.
